How high can a solar pump lift water?
There is a wide variety of solar pumps that can lift water at different heights. Some solar powered pumps can lift water upwards of 1,000 feet. When researching how high a solar pump can lift water, you must first calculate what we call Total Dynamic Head. Pumping head is the maximum height that a pump can move fluid against gravity, and it determines the various head loss that the pump must overcome. Total head is the combination of your static water depth, drawdown, additional lift, and any frictional looses in the pipe.
