Do solar fountains work at night?

Solar panels cannot store energy, but batteries can. Solar fountains are direct drive solar and so will come on when the sun comes up, but will not pump at night without a backup power source. However the expense, hassle, and amount of batteries required to run your fountain at night is such that we don’t recommend this to the average solar pumper. Instead, put the sun to work and enjoy your fountain in daylight.
