Absolutely not! While mounting your panels on a roof usually provides full sun, a sturdy base, and a decreased likelihood of damage, it’s not necessary. A ground mounted or top-of-pole mounted array allows you to customize your tilt angle based on your geographic location, maximizing your solar input.
